In the night of Friday, April 11, 2025, a 39-year-old man in Bremen-Gröpelingen celebrated his birthday in an extremely questionable way. Together with an unknown accomplice, he broke into an apartment on Seewenjestrasse and searched it. An attentive neighbor became aware of the action and immediately alerted the police.

When the emergency services arrived, the perpetrator tried to panicked and hid in a garden. But his escape ended abruptly when the officers arrested him on site. During the search of the crime scene, a handcart and a crowbar were secured, which are used as evidence. The birthday child ultimately landed with handcuffs at the police station - a celebration of a completely different kind.
