Dangerous intervention: office chair endangers train traffic in Stuttgart!

on Sunday evening, May 18, 2025, there was a dangerous incident on the railway line from Zazenhausen to Schorndorf. Unknown perpetrators probably threw an office chair into the track bed, which forced a train driver around 8:38 p.m. to initiate an emergency braking. Despite the dramatic situation, the train, which promoted around 100 passengers, remained ready to drive and luckily there were no injuries.

The Federal Police Stuttgart confirmed that the office chair was ensured during a review on site. The investigation into suspected dangerous intervention in rail traffic was initiated. The police warn: obstacles on the tracks can have catastrophic consequences and not only endanger passengers, but also all waiting at the train station.
