Common space concert: Velbert music train welcomes Zweibrücker guests

Velbert - The first weekend in September is all about music and friendship in Velbert. The music train of the Velbert volunteer fire brigade will have the Stadtkapelle Zweibrücken from September 6th to 8th, 2024. The highlight of the visit is a joint space concert, which takes place on Saturday, September 7th, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the square on the offer. All citizens are cordially invited to attend this special musical event and enjoy the sounds of both orchestras.

The connection between the two music groups is not only a musical nature, it also has a touching story. In mid -September of last year, the musicians from Velbert had taken their orchestral trip to Zweibrücken, where they could build close friendships. This trip was the cornerstone for the current visit, which is characterized by around 25 musicians from the city twinning.

The contact between the two music groups moves from an extraordinary love story. A baton from Velbert got to know a clarinet artist from the Zweibrücken Stadtkapelle at an orchestra meeting and fell in love with her. Since then, although they now live in Saarbrücken, the two have not let the connection to Velbert tear down. Whenever possible, the musician continues to actively play in the music train of the volunteer fire brigade.

The arrival of the city chapel in Velbert will take place on Friday evening. After a solemn greeting with a dinner, the weekend is initiated by the creative exchange of the two orchestras. Norbert Albrecht, the music train leader, is optimistic: "We will not overdo the rehearsals on Friday. Musicians quickly get along and our guests should still have some of their limited time". This symbolizes the relaxed atmosphere that is supposed to rule during this visit.

For the planned concert on Saturday, it is important to work in a successful balance between rehearsals and social get -together. As part of their stay in Velbert, the musicians from Zweibrücken also planned a visit to the castle and cohering museum in the region, as well as numerous other community activities. The existing friendships should continue to consolidate these cultural experiences.
