The results of the recent speed monitoring in the southern district area of Märkischer Kreis have now been published. They checked the traffic from 8:14 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. The use of the cycling device led to remarkable results that give an insight into the behavior of road users. A total of 1601 vehicles were measured.

Surprising statistics and measures

118 vehicles were registered in the caution area in the speed measurement. This means that these drivers have to expect a first warning if they are traveling within the defined limits that are located in a closed town at 50 km/h.

However, there were also more serious violations: the police issued 63 administrative offenses. This is a significant number and raises questions about the sense of responsibility for many drivers. The three driving bans that have been pronounced are particularly alarming. This shows that not only were speed overruns were uncovered, but that some drivers were obviously unconfirmed, which seriously endangered security on the streets.

An outstanding measurement deserves special mention: a sprinter was recorded at a speed of 73 km/h in a speed 30 zone. This is a worrying finding that is also gaining importance due to the dimensions of the vehicle.
