A investigator of the Bad Lobenstein service has informed a number of graffiti masonry in Saalburg. In June 2024, unknown people left lubrications on walls, power boxes and bridges in the city, which caused considerable damage of around 12,000 euros. Almost 20 advertisements were recorded in this context.

The Saalfeld police station has now completed the investigation and identified those responsible for the unsightly actions. The deeds, which are characterized by lettering and slogans, caused a sensation in the region.
