Great fire in Dötlingen: Fire brigade saves adjacent residential building!

In the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, the district of Hockensberg in Dötlingen was shaken by a devastating fire! Already at 2:39 a.m., the emergency call alerted the fire brigade when the agricultural barn was very flames. When the first emergency services arrived, the fire was so intense that further extinguishing troops had to be ordered quickly.

Over 80 firefighters, including the local fire brigades from Brettorf, Dötlingen and Neerstedt as well as the aerial ladder of the Wildeshausen fire brigade, bravely fought against the flames. Thanks to a quickly erected bolt position, they were able to prevent the flames from attacking an adjacent residential building. However, the fire covered a neighboring, empty stable building. Fortunately, there were no injuries in the operation. The police have now confiscated the fire location and the investigation into the cause of the fire is in progress. The estimated property damage amounts to around 400,000 euros.
