on Wednesday morning at 9:10 a.m. there was a spectacular incident in Mainz Central Station: A wagon of a freight train who was traveling from Rotterdam to Ludwigshafen! Fortunately, the incident remained without injuries. The derailed but unpopular wagon came to a standstill just a few meters before platform 4.

However, the consequences are considerable: several hundred meters of railway sleepers were damaged, which leads to massive impairments in rail traffic. Numerous tracks are blocked and passengers have to expect long waiting times. Initial investigations into the cause of the accident are underway, but when the restrictions can be remedied is still unclear. Further information will follow!
