Hamburg's growth in the police: 117 prospective commissioners start!

In a solemn ceremony in the Hamburg town hall, a total of 141 commissioner candidates started their training in the upscale and medium -sized police services on May 19, 2025. Of these young people, 57 are intended for the criminal police, 53 for the protection service and seven for the water protection police. In addition, 24 more trainees have started their training in the middle service, including twelve police officers.

The new candidates have already brought a variety of experiences from other professional fields, including electrical engineering, law and the Bundeswehr. The Hamburg police thus open new perspectives for young talents and thus strengthen the police service in the city. Representatives of the media were invited to register for the event for the event in order to receive access to the town hall.
