Hauenballen on fire: Hünxe saves barn through quick action!

On May 21, 2025 at 6:22 p.m., the fire brigade units Hünxe and Drevenack were alerted to a fire on the Kirchhellen-Wesel-Weg. Two hay bales burned on site, which were stored under a canopy of a barn. The attentive residents had already reacted and brought the burning hay bales outdoors, which efficiently prevented the fire from spreading.

The fire brigade pulled the hay bales apart and deleted the fire with a jet tube. A subsequent control of the fire site with a thermal imaging camera did not result in any other fire nests or dangers. The assignment was successfully completed after about an hour.
