High fire risk: Thujahecke in Rinteln by weed burners in flames!

At the weekend, the police received alarming reports in Rinteln due to increased risk of fire. A resident wanted to remove weeds in his entrance at around 11:50 a.m. on Saturday, but accidentally caught fire on a Thujecke on Rubensweg. The flame smoke pulled to about five meters, but fortunately the cause was able to extinguish the fire with a garden hose himself before the fire brigade arrived. This only had to carry out small post -extinguishing work.

The police urge that work with fire in vegetation areas are currently extremely risky and can trigger uncontrolled fires. Since no obvious ignition source was found on site, investigations into the cause of the fire are now underway.
