Young people sniff police air: insight into the everyday life of the emergency services!
Around 20 young people and young adults used the Easter holidays to complete a trial internship at the police! At the age of 14 to 19 years old, they immersed in the exciting world of police work in the Kaiserslautern police headquarters and in various units of the West Palatinate for four days. The eager interns offered themselves the unique opportunity to look behind the scenes of the “everyday police” and to get to know different work areas.
The program was diverse: the young participants received insights into the exciting tasks of the criminal police, the work of the technical operational units and the riot police. The center for shooting and operational training, which belongs to the police university, was particularly emphasized. In addition, they were able to get to know the "operational search unit" of the central transport services and find out about topics such as "tuning" that is of interest to many new driving license. A quick but informative adventure for the young officers!
