Young people are sitting on the edge of the track: Tour braking saves life in Bochum!

A 17-year-old adolescent caused a dramatic incident at the Bochum main station on Monday afternoon. While she was sitting on the platform and put her legs hanging over the edge, the train driver of the RB40 had to initiate an emergency braking to prevent a collision. Fortunately, no one injured in the incident that took place around 4:20 p.m.

The federal police were informed immediately and quickly arrived at the scene. Employees interviewed the 61-year-old train driver and a witness who confirmed the danger of the Situation. After a short break, the regional train was able to continue its journey after about 20 minutes. The station's surveillance cameras documented the incident and confirmed the statements of the parties. The police pointed out the young people on the dangers of the railway facilities and handed them into the care of their legal representative. Now she has to answer for the dangerous intervention in rail traffic.
