A 37-year-old homeless man was arrested in Hamm on Thursday evening after trying to leave a grocery discounter at the old Uentroper Weg with a backpack full of cheese. The thief was published in the shop around 8:40 p.m. and had packed 21 packaging units with the value of 100 euros. During his escape attempt there was a scramble with a 37-year-old employee who tried to stop him. She was slightly injured while the perpetrator could escape.

Despite his escape, the suspect could still be identified and arrested by the police nearby on his bike. The entire prey was in his possession. During the investigation, it turned out that the man had already stolen chocolate bars worth 50 euros on April 14. He is demonstrated to the judge for commercial and predatory theft. Fortunately, the injured employee did not need a medical care.
