Coffee and nodules: Police checked motorcycles in Wermelskirchen

On Sunday, May 11th, the popular "Coffee and Knöllchen" control campaign took place on the L101 in Wermelskirchen between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. In bright weather, the police officers concentrated from the traffic service on the numerous motorcyclists who were traveling in the region. They were supported by an expert from TÜV Rheinland and two paramedics who also gave valuable safety instructions and presented the innovative airbag vest.

The campaign was not only a control, but also an opportunity for informative conversations with a cup of coffee. Despite the relaxed atmosphere, a total of six road users had to leave their vehicles because they were found against them. Three motorcycles and a car were ensured and the onward journey for those affected prohibited.
