In a dramatic basement fire in Bad Friedrichshaller Paracelsusstrasse, eleven people suffered minor injuries on Monday afternoon. At 3:45 p.m., residents alerted the fire brigade due to a threatening smoke development, which quickly spread out in the stairwell. The fire brigade was able to quickly locate and extinguish the fire in the basement, but several residents were in danger due to the dense smoke and had to be saved from their balconies via the aerial ladder.

The eleven injuries received quick help on site for suspected flue gas intoxication. The police assume that a battery of a parked e-scooter has triggered the fire. The investigation by the Neckarsulm police are running, the exact property damage is currently still unclear.
