Kleve: Seriously injured pedestrian after bike accident on a sidewalk!

On Friday, April 25, 2025, a dramatic accident between a pedestrian and a cyclist occurred on Nimweger Straße in Kleve. The 78-year-old pedestrian from Goch had previously parked his Mercedes Vito with a trailer on the bike path to make a delivery. When the 51-year-old cyclist from Kleve drove his pedelec towards Kranenburg, he had to switch to the sidewalk due to the blocked bike path.

In a shocking moment, the collision occurred when the pedestrian entered the sidewalk. Both men plunged to the ground, with the pedestrian seriously and the cyclist was slightly injured. Rescue workers immediately arrived to take the injured to the hospital. However, the cyclist was able to leave the hospital after outpatient treatment. The cyclist's bike was secured during the accident.
