Controls in Darmstadt: Police uncovered massive violations!

On Friday, May 16, a large-scale control of the police and authorities in restaurants, kiosks and shisha bars took place in Darmstadt. Numerous police and customs officials as well as employees of the commercial office went in search of violations of commercial, tax and health law regulations.

The balance sheet is alarming: In a kiosk in the Kaplaneigasse, over 1,000 beverage bottles without a pawns were secured, while the sale of laughing gas and forbidden nicotine pouches was uncovered. The kiosk operator now faces a fine procedure. In Bleichstraße, serious defects in the cash management were discovered in two restaurants, supplemented by illegal gaming machines. A total of 8,000 euros was imposed here. There was also massive hygiene defects in a shisha bar on Siemensstrasse, including spoiled food and illegally delivered tobacco, which led to further criminal proceedings for tax evasion.
