Copper thieves in Gotha: the police strike again!

In a shocking incident in Gotha, the brazen thieves have stolen several hundred meters of copper cables in an empty shop. The police immediately determined and was able to put two men, a 29-year-old and a 56-year-old, in the act on May 11, 2025. Both were in the process of dismantling more cables than the officers intervened.

The two men, who have been noticeable in the past because of similar offenses, were immediately arrested. After a appearance in front of the judge, the 29-year-old was transferred to a correctional facility, while the 56-year-old was released under conditions. The exact amount of the thieves and property damage is currently still being determined.
