Life-saving use: Jena police prevents suicide projects

In the afternoon of April 30, 2025, a concerned note alerted the police in Jena: a man expressed suicidal intentions and was in possession of a firearm. The police reacted immediately and initiated extensive measures.

Special forces searched the man's apartment the same evening and found it there. He suffered minor injuries during the mission and was taken to the hospital for medical treatment. In the apartment, the emergency services discovered several weapon -like objects that were ensured. The investigation into the background of the incident and the origin of the weapons continues, but at no time was a danger to the public.
