A dramatic sole accident occurred on Tuesday evening, May 13, 2025, on the BAB7, shortly after the Fulda motorway triangle. A 30-year-old Polish truck driver lost control of his semitrailer team for a previously unknown cause, raced from the road and overturned. The heavy vehicle came to a standstill about ten meters next to the street in a embankment and quickly got on fire.
Fortunately, attentive witnesses reacted immediately and helped the driver, who was only slightly injured, from the cabin before the flames reached the cab. The fire brigade was able to quickly extinguish the fire and prevent the fire from spreading to the adjacent vegetation. The highway was completely closed to the scene of the accident before traffic was led over the left lane. The injured driver was taken to the hospital and the lower water authority was informed because diesel expired. The property damage amounts to shocking 100,000 euros.
