Truck accident in Steinheim: Driver injured and large traffic jam announced!

On Thursday, April 10th, around 1:15 p.m. on the B239 near Steinheim there was a spectacular traffic accident with a truck and a manure trailer. A 21-year-old driver from Höxter lost control of his team in a left turn, and the truck tipped over to the side! Fortunately, the driver only suffered minor injuries. But the misfortune had massive consequences: the truck and the trailer were no longer ready to drive and had to be towed, while the property damage was estimated at around 50,000 euros.

The accident site completely blocked the feeder to Lippe, which led to considerable traffic problems in the urban area. At first it was unclear whether the driver had the necessary driver's license for the team, which is why the police initiated a comprehensive review. Current information indicates that it is a special approval for agricultural vehicles, which results in other driver's license classes. The investigation is still running!
