Knife attack in S-Bahn: Man sticks on seats!

on April 20, 2025, around 7:30 p.m., an incident in the S8 from Frankfurt am Main to Wiesbaden caused excitement at the main train station in Mainz. The federal police were alerted after a 29-year-old Nigerian stood around wildly with a knife on the train. There was applause for the quick reaction of the state police, which arrested the perpetrator at the Mainz train station in Roman Theater. According to witnesses, the man stabbed one seat several times, while around 100 passengers were on board - luckily nobody remained injured.

When arriving in Wiesbaden, the officers found a bread knife with a blade length of approx. 8 cm and now take up investigations to clarify whether it is the agent. The suspect was taken to the office at the main train station and then instructed it into a psychiatric facility. Criminal proceedings for property damage were opened against him, the amount of the damage is still pending.
