Motorcyclist falls in Cochem: mild injuries after cornering accident

On Friday evening, May 2, 2025, a spectacular motorcycle accident occurred on the federal road 259 near Cochem. A 22-year-old driver from Bavaria lost control of his vehicle for reasons that have so far been unexplained, slipped over a meadow after a fall and was slightly injured. Immediate help came through the German Red Cross, an emergency doctor and the Cochem police.

The injured person was taken to a hospital for further examination. His machine was damaged by the fall and had to be removed from a towing service. Fortunately, the roadway remained freely passable during the rescue measures.
