Cycling scooter in Alsdorf: alcohol, drugs and no driver's license

Alsdorf - On Saturday evening, a disturbing incident occurred in an otherwise quiet quarter, which focused on both courageous action and dangerous behavior. A 28-year-old persecuted a couple in the cross street around 8:30 p.m. after leaving a snack bar. For no apparent reason, the man who was traveling on a scooter constantly cut off the path of the couple and ignored their requests to end the situation. It turned out that this incident took a terrible turn that made both those responsible for security and the citizens on alert.

In the heat of the moment, the threatened couple turned to the man's brother and contacted the police. The situation continued to escalate, and when the patrol car crew arrived, they found the supposed perpetrator under strange circumstances. He was next to his overturned scooter in Pützdrieschstraße and was apparently no longer able to stay on his feet.

a frightening state

A look at the closer circumstances made the officials be taken care of quickly. A breath alcohol test revealed a value of over two per thousand - a number that already indicates considerable drunkenness in itself. In addition, the police also discovered drugs with the young man, which forced him to undergo a blood sample. Already at this point it was clear that it was not a harmless offense.

But the man's behavior continued to escalate. He actively locked himself against the lawful measures of the police and was in no way ready to cooperate. On the contrary, he behaved extremely aggressively, insulted the officials and tried to injure them with head thrusts. The complete lack of respect and decency became clear at that moment and made the situation even more dangerous for everyone involved. The police finally decided to accommodate him in a cell to calm down.

missing driver's license and insurance coverage

In addition, it turned out that the man's scooter was not insured and that he also had no driver's license. In view of the current laws, this will have serious legal consequences for the young man, who may now have to answer not only because of his aggression, but also because of the violations of the Road Traffic Act. Clarity about the ownership of the scooter is also necessary, as it remains unclear who the small skate actually belongs. The police ensured the vehicle and will check the further procedure in this context.

This incident clearly shows how alcohol and drugs can negatively influence the behavior of a person and corresponds to a worrying reality that affects many communities. In addition, it illustrates how important it is to be a role model in terms of road traffic and act responsibly today, especially when it comes to consuming intoxicating substances.
