A brave 51-year-old thwarted a man's attempt yesterday in Brunsbüttel to steal cash from his car. The incident occurred on a supermarket car park in Koogstrasse when the perpetrator, a 32-year-old, broke into the vehicle and grabbed a bag with cash.

The attentive vehicle owner did not allow himself to be intimidated and started the persecution. There was a physical argument during the confrontation, but with the support of a passerby, the thief was able to capture the thief until the police arrived. The police arrived shortly afterwards and took the perpetrator in custody.
