New head of the Kripo Pirmasens: Björn Ephan takes over!
Pirmasens, Deutschland - A fresh wind blows through the Pirmasens crime inspection! First chief criminal commissioner Björn Ephan was officially appointed the new head. In a solemn inauguration, headed by police chief Hans Kästner, the 48-year-old took on the responsibility of Dieter Gast, who retired after an impressive 43 years.
Björn Ephan, who started his service to the Rhineland-Palatinate police in 1996, has a broad experience. After completing his apprenticeship, he initially worked for the riot police, followed by a station at the Mainz police headquarters. Most recently, he worked for four years in the LKA as deputy head of department for ownership offenses before working as an IT coach at the police university. From April 1, 2025, he will now head the Pirmasens crime inspection and was praised by Kästner for his previous services and wished for the new challenges.
