Nuremberg: escalate protests! Police investigated after blockages

In the city center of Nuremberg, there were violent protests on Monday evening (April 14th, 2025) that blocked the streets! Around 110 people gathered under the motto "Nuremberg Stasi -Frei! To protect the freedom of assembly!" At the Hallplatz. The atmosphere was tense when around 300 counter -demonstrators took part in the protests and made them mobile with two vigils against the Monday demo.

The situation escalated when counter -demonstrators with seat blocks stopped moving the elevator, which forced the police to change the planned path through the Rosenupark and back to Hallplatz. Despite the excitement, the meeting was finally declared over at 10:50 p.m. The police have identified the identities of several people involved in the blockade campaigns and are now investigating because of possible crimes. A massive police force was on site to keep control.
