Police checked tuning meetings in Lübeck: focus on security!

On May 10, 2025, targeted traffic controls in the Lübeck district of Genin took place through the officials of the 4th police station, with the focus on technical modifications on vehicles, known as "tuning". A total of nine vehicles were checked more intensively for a meeting of around 120 tuning -loving drivers. While only slight technical changes were found in three cases, the drivers had to take measures to reimburse to continue their journey.

Another driver who did not belong to the tuning event was particularly noticeable: he was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol and drugs and also had no valid driving license. The officials initiated criminal proceedings against him. The controls illustrate the strict handling of traffic safety in connection with vehicle modifications to minimize dangers on the streets.
