Police grabs Raser: 37 crimes for driving controls in Lüneburg!

Lüneburg, Deutschland - On May 15, 2025, the Lüneburg police inspection, together with forces from the Hanover bicycle relay and other police units, carried out comprehensive control in the Lüneburg urban area. The focus was on motorized bicycles and electrical cars, in particular their unauthorized performance optimization. In just a few hours, the officials registered impressive 71 administrative offenses and initiated 37 criminal proceedings, many of them due to trips without insurance protection or the necessary driving license.

The control had dramatic consequences: ten vehicles were secured or confiscated. A driver of a motorized bike tried to escape control, but was quickly caught by a mobile control team. His retrofitted vehicle, which was able to reach 50 km/h without pedals, led to a prohibition of the onward journey. A total of 23 two -wheelers were pulled out of circulation and the police set a clear sign of violations in road traffic.
