Police Wuppertal strikes illegal cigarette ring in the region!

Velbert, Deutschland - police Wuppertal today carried out a large -scale raid against illegal cigarette production, supported by foreign authorities. A total of 12 objects were searched, including seven in Wuppertal and others in Schwelm, Dortmund and Düsseldorf. The focus of the investigation is a 45-year-old Bulgarian citizen who is accused of having organized two illegal cigarette factories in Velbert and Radevormwald and organized the distribution of the untracted cigarettes.

An arrest warrant against the main suspect was enforced. In addition, two other Bulgarian citizens are suspected of being involved in tax evasion and money laundering. During the searches, the officials found data carriers and numerous documents that now have to be evaluated. Criminal proceedings against 19 suspects are already pending at the Wuppertal District Court, while the extensive investigation continues.
