Police report: New measurement results of speed monitoring in Iserlohn and Hemer

The importance of police speed monitoring for traffic safety

In the cities of Hemer and Iserlohn, the police recently carried out speed controls to ensure security on the streets. The results of these measures are an important indicator of how road users adhere to the applicable rules.

A total of 1030 vehicles were monitored at the first measuring point in Iserlohn-Letmathe. There were no administrative offenses, but 31 warnings were pronounced. The highest measured value concerns a car that drove 66 km/h in a 50s zone within the closed town. The results show that the majority of the drivers respect the given speed limits, which contributes to general security in road traffic.

The second measuring point in Hemer-Stephanopel recorded 235 monitored vehicles. Two administrative offenses were reimbursed here, while 36 warnings were pronounced. The highest measured value was 51 km/h in a 30 zone within the closed town. These results show that despite the efforts to ensure traffic safety, there are still some violations of the speed limits.

The cooperation between the police and the local authorities is crucial to ensure traffic safety. Regular speed controls can be sensitized by road users to respect the speed limits and thereby minimize the risk of accidents. It is important that all drivers take their responsibility seriously and actively contribute to the safety of everyone.
