A serious traffic accident occurred in the late afternoon in Weimar. Around 4:30 p.m., a 44-year-old man and his Mazda crashed into a 73-year-old cyclist who suddenly drove from a park to Marienstrasse. The cyclist was seriously injured in the collision and had to be taken to the hospital. Both the bike and the car were damaged.In the investigation, the police found that the driver was under the influence of exhilarating means. However, this fact was not regarded as the cause of the accident, which is why a separate display was reimbursed and a blood sample was ordered. The investigation continues.
