Cyclist (24) fatally injured in the tragic accident in Schieder-Schwalenberg

On Holy Saturday, April 19, 2025, a tragic traffic accident occurred in Schieder-Schwalenberg, in which a 24-year-old cyclist was fatally injured. At 11:40 a.m., the young woman was part of a five -member group of cyclists who drove the bike path along Detmolder Straße (L 886) in the direction of Schieder. At the confluence "Nessenberg" the group crossed the bike path where a crossing is set up.

Despite the resuscitation measures initiated immediately, the emergency services could no longer do anything for the cyclist. She died at the scene of the accident. The police have started the investigation to clarify the exact circumstances of the accident.
