Enigmatic fire in the port of Dortmund: Recycling machine in flames!

The Dortmund fire brigade was alerted to a fire in a recycling company in the port on Tuesday night at 2:20 a.m. A well -planned operational concept led to a massive alarm with around 40 emergency services that were available to the fire brigade and the emergency services. During the exploration, the firefighters discovered a fire in the support snail of a recycling machine that was immediately fought.

The extinguishing work was complex because the cladding of the machine had to be opened to delete embers. Thanks to the quick intervention, the fire could be spread. The emergency services took care of three factory employees, one of whom was taken to the hospital for further examination. The operational measures were completed at 4:15 a.m. and the site was handed over to the shift manager.
