Smoke development in Freiburg: Ms. deletes trash can fire herself!

Feldbergstraße, 79539 Lörrach, Deutschland - in the heart of Freiburg there was a troubling incident on Monday morning. At around 7:00 a.m., a resident called the fire brigade to Feldbergstrasse, as the hallway of an apartment building was wrapped in thick smoke. The alarmed emergency services immediately started evacuation of the residents.

The cause of the smoke development was quickly found: a woman had tried to extinguish a burning trash can in her apartment that was probably lit by a thrown cigarette button. Although the garbage can was on fire, the woman managed to extinguish him with water, but this led to considerable smoke. Fortunately, there was no personal injury or property damage.
