Show respect: Blear light family in dialogue with citizens in Darmstadt!

Friedensplatz, 64283 Darmstadt, Deutschland - In the heart of Darmstadt, the opening event of the dialogue series "Respect - respect experienced" took place on April 29. Interior Minister Roman Poseck and police chief Björn Gutzeit emphasized the valuable work of rescue and emergency services and thanked them with an impressive blue light show. Poseck emphasized the ongoing challenges that emergency services faced and referred to alarming numbers: Last year, 5,240 police officers and other emergency services were victims of attacks - a number that has hardly changed and is a clear appeal for more respect.

The event at Friedensplatz is intended to promote personal exchange between citizens and the so -called blue light family. With information stands and hands -on activities, visitors were able to get to know the work of the fire brigade, police and emergency services better. The aim is to reduce prejudices and to raise awareness of the dangers to which these heroic emergency services expose themselves daily. Police President Gutzeit called for respectful cooperation and pointed out that every attack on helpers is unacceptable. Adieu, anonymity - here the city shows solidarity with the people who fight for our security every day!
