On Tuesday afternoon, April 15, 2025, a suspected robbery occurred on an 86-year-old woman in a cemetery on the Ölmühlenweg in Rheinbach. Around 12:50 p.m., a stranger to the senior citizen, who was currently busy with the grave care, gave her a hand sweeper and tore her off a gold chain from the next moment. In the meantime, the robber also grabbed her handbag, which was attached to the rollator, and fled towards Brahmstrasse.

The members of the woman immediately alerted the police. Despite immediately initiated search measures, the suspect man, who can only be described with a red jacket, has not yet been caught. The police are now looking for witnesses who can provide information on the incident or the perpetrator.
