A serious traffic accident occurred on Thursday at 3:48 p.m. in Schmittbachweg in Weilburg when a 60-year-old scooter driver fell while turning into the Karlsberg. For reasons unknown, the driver lost control of his vehicle and slipped into oncoming traffic, where he collided with a car of a 43-year-old woman.

The scooter driver contracted injuries and was immediately taken to a hospital to be treated there. In addition, considerable property damage was caused by the vehicles involved. The exact circumstances of the accident are currently still unclear and are examined by the police.
