Backpack thief caught in Nuremberg: video surveillance intervenes!
On Saturday, April 19, a 51-year-old Greek in the Nuremberg Central Station was caught with a brazen theft. He stole the backpack of a 45-year-old Indian, who had a proud 1,000 euros in cash and a cell phone. The thief left the station with the backpack behind it, but the surveillance cameras had recorded everything. Just a few hours later, the police were able to arrest the perpetrator thanks to these recordings.
After the police patrol discovered the man, it turned out that he was still carrying the stolen backpack with all valuable content. The search of the alleged thief also revealed narcotics. The federal police have started the investigation, and the incident throws a bright light on the security situation at the most important traffic junction of the city.
