Early dispute ends in a serious accident: man flees to Crash!

A dramatic incident near the Index discotheque caused excitement in the early morning hours of May 18. Around 6 a.m., a verbal argument between a 27-year-old man and a 23-year-old passerby escalated in the parking lot when the older opponent hit the younger one with a drinking glass, which luckily led only minor injuries. Security employees of the discotheque separated the two and held the aggressor until the police arrived.

A little later, the 27-year-old lost control of his vehicle, presumably alcoholic and distracted by his risky driving style and crashed into a tree. He overturned and climbed out of the wreck before fled on foot. The police were able to quickly find and arrest him in a nearby bush. He suffered facial and head injuries, but rejected medical treatment. A blood sample was properly removed. Witnesses of the incident are asked to report to the police in Bad Bentheim.
