Shock on Euskirchener Straße: Pedelec driver collides with a car!

On Friday, May 2, 2025, a serious accident occurred on Euskirchener Strasse in Düren. A 58-year-old man from the Warendorf district drove his pedelec on the walking and bike path in the opposite direction when a 56-year-old driver from Jülich did not notice the bike in good time when leaving a car dealership. The car driver stated that a fence blocked his view of the bike path.

The collision between the car and the pedelec led to an immediate alarm by the police. The exact circumstances of the accident and possible injuries to the cyclist are currently still unclear, the investigation is underway.
