On Monday afternoon there was a dramatic rear -end collision in the Sömmerda district, which resulted in several injuries. Around 5:20 p.m., an 84-year-old Opel driver in Straußfurt noticed that the cars had to brake in front of him-but unfortunately too late! At full speed, he raced on a seat and then catapulted it against a VW.

The shocking collision led the person who caused the accident and two other occupants of the vehicles involved. Fast rescue measures ensured that all injured people were hospitalized. The material damage? It amounts to brutal 10,000 euros!
