on Saturday evening, around 7:00 p.m., a serious traffic accident occurred on the B 51, near the former ENSDORF power plant. A 20-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle in a curve and collided head-on with the car of a 55-year-old woman. The impact was violent: both cars hurled wildly, with the young driver's vehicle overturned and landed in the ditch.

emergency services, including the police and the rescue helicopter Christoph 16, were quickly on hand. The two drivers and two other occupants suffered injuries and were treated on site. Due to the accident recording, the B 51 in this area remained completely closed to the duration of the rescue and cleaning work.
