In a dramatic traffic accident in Hagenow-Heide, five people were injured on Wednesday, including two seriously. Around 2:00 p.m., two cars came together head -on on Hagenower Straße. A 68-year-old driver and her 78-year-old husband suffered serious injuries, while the 20-year-old driver of the other vehicle remained completely intact, but had minor injuries.

The impact was so violent that the 68-year-old car was thrown onto the sidewalk, where he caught a 65-year-old pedestrian with a stroller. The woman was slightly injured, and luckily her 10-month baby was not injured. All those affected were immediately taken to the hospital. The elaborate rescue work led to a temporary blocking of the L 04 to 4:30 p.m., while the police recorded the accident and researched the causes. The first indications indicate that the 20-year-old may have violated the legal driving requirement, which led to this serious accident. The total damage amounts to around 61,000 euros.
