Shocking collision in Hanover: Stadtbahn rams VW Passat!

In a dramatic incident on Sunday morning, April 27, 2025, there was a serious accident between a VW Passat and a light rail on line 5. The 34-year-old passenger of the car suffered serious injuries during the driver and another 28-year-old passenger with minor injuries. Fortunately, the layouts remained unharmed.

The accident occurred at the crossroads at the Halthoffstraße and Herrenhäuser Straße at 9:00 a.m. when the VW Passat crossed the street and collided with the light rail. The force of the impact hurled the Passat several meters above the sidewalk. Emergency doctors immediately took care of the injuries and the seriously injured passenger was taken to a hospital.
