On Thursday evening there was a dramatic traffic accident in Offenburg: a 55-year-old woman who was traveling with her Renault turned left from the old country road to Kaiserstrasse at around 6 p.m. and overlooked a racing cyclist. The 69-year-old could no longer avoid and was thrown onto the bonnet by the impact before he was seriously injured on the road.

rescue workers quickly hurried on the spot and immediately brought the injured to a nearby hospital. The total damage to the vehicles is around 12,500 euros. The accident raises questions about safety in road traffic again.
