Serious rear -end collision in Issum: Two women injured!

On Thursday, May 8, 2025, there was a serious rear -end collision in Issum, at the Weseler Straße (B 58) and Airport Weg. A 67-year-old woman from Alps wanted to turn left with her gray Toyota Yaris and had to wait for oncoming traffic. Behind her, a 29-year-old Krefeld woman in her white Opel Corsa noticed the standing vehicles too late and then raced to the Toyota driver.

The consequences were dramatic: Fortunately, the Corsa driver was only slightly injured, the older woman had to be hospitalized with serious injuries. Both vehicles were no longer ready to drive after the collision and had to be towed. Emergency services were quickly on hand and took care of the injured.
