On Tuesday evening, a dramatic accident occurred between a motorcyclist and a driver on Bottroper Straße in Kirchhellen. The 20-year-old driver from Gladbeck suffered serious injuries and was immediately flown to the hospital with a rescue helicopter.

The 42-year-old driver from Bottrop had to stop at around 8:25 p.m. due to traffic, which surprisingly hit the motorcyclist. He crashed into her vehicle with unbroken force. Fortunately, while the motorcyclist was seriously injured, the driver, like her 14-year-old son, remained unharmed. The property damage amounts to around 10,000 euros. Due to the accident recording and landing the helicopter, Bottroper Straße was temporarily blocked in both directions.
