Serious accident on the cinema ride: drivers suffer medical emergency

On Wednesday afternoon, at 12:45 p.m., a serious traffic accident shook the Gottlieb-Daimler-Straße in Zweibrücken. A 66-year-old driver suffered a medical emergency while driving in the cinema ride, lost control of his silver Ford Focus and crashed head-on against a motorway bridge. The car landed across a slope after it had broken a fence.

The passenger was not injured and could get out of the car himself. However, the driver had to be freed from the vehicle and was taken to a nearby hospital because of his health. The rescue of the vehicle required the use of a crane. The police have received the investigation into the cause of the accident, while the amount of property damage remains unclear.
