Serious accident on A30: 81-year-old has to be saved from cars!

On Thursday morning, around 11:21 a.m. on the A30 in the direction of the Netherlands, Höhe Salzbergen, a devastating traffic accident occurred. An 81-year-old Citroën driver raced unchecked on a truck that was controlled by a 53-year-old. The exact circumstances of the impact have so far been unclear. The impact caused the Citroën skid to skid, hit the middle protection plank and rolled over. In a terrible moment, the vehicle also touched a VW in front, which was directed by a 65-year-old.

The driver of the Citroën was seriously injured in the accident and was trapped in his vehicle. Firefighters had to intervene with technical equipment to free them. The seriously injured 81-year-old was then flown to a hospital with a rescue helicopter. The A30 was temporarily blocked during the rescue measures.
